Are you suitable for yoga?
5 reasons for outdoor yoga
1. Fresher air
I've been to a few yoga studios where I felt like I didn't have the air to breathe.
That can't happen to us in outdoor yoga :)
2. Better to switch off
Surrounded by nature, it is better to relax and unwind. The chirping of birds and the wind in our hair ... if that's not a wonderful prerequisite for relaxation.
3. More vitamin D
Most of the time we sit in front of our computer in our office, so outdoor yoga is a great change of scenery. In addition, the sun gives our skin a little bit of vitamin D, which also increases the production of the happiness hormone. Accordingly, yoga in the sun makes you happy to the power of two.
4. Better balance
It is often difficult to keep your balance on solid ground. On an uneven meadow like a meadow, however, it is even a little harder. However, this also activates our deep muscles and we challenge ourselves a little more.
5. A clear head and more creativity
Do you know the feeling of being in the office after days of being no longer able to think and certainly not capable of creative thinking? It should be scientifically known that both brain ability and creativity improve when exercising in nature. So one more reason to do more yoga outdoors
Are you suitable for yoga?
Would you also like to start with yoga, but are you concerned about whether you or your body are even suitable for it?
Many of us have an image in our head of what we or our body should look like. In the social networks, magazines or other channels, you see mostly good-looking women with well-trained, slim bodies and in high spirits. This appearance is deceptive, however: Yogis are only human and also have bad days and problem areas and not every yogi fits into the Instagram norm shown.
You don't have to be extremely athletic or flexible to do yoga. That's the beauty of yoga: Yoga is for EVERYONE, every age group and every body type.
"Saying you are not flexible enough for yoga is like saying you are too dirty to take a bath"
In yoga, everyone only goes as far as it feels right for themselves at the moment. Your gaze is only on you and your own mat. Sometimes your body needs more effort, sometimes more rest. With yoga we also learn to listen more to our body.
So get on your yoga mat and off you go - Start where you are, use what you have and do what you can.
